About Me

I grew up on Hong Kong movies, so much so that they flowed through my spirit & blood, & still do. For myself, I was actively involved in supplying movies to the Chinese community, & receiving them, & I can say that I was very fortunate to be the only Western guy to be embraced by the Chinese community in my town. I learned so much from my friends & that led me to also attend Chinese school for 2 years, reading, writing & speaking Cantonese. Unfortunately, I never continued my studies as life got in the way. However, I can remember some things from time to time. I'm looking to learn Mandarin.

I've also been actively involved in screening movies in the cinema, giving people the opportunity to see them on the big screen, which is always the greatest experience.

When people ask me about Hong Kong/Chinese movies & why my passion for them is out of this world, I always respond with this answer! I'm an emotional person, & I found a lot of emotions in the movies, they were & are a part of shaping my life. They are part of what I breathe, I lived it & still do with such a deep passion it is hard for me to explain.

I learned so much from my Chinese friends, & if it wasn't for them & their culture I don't think I'd be writing this or be having this store. So, I'm forever in their debt & will always promote what they taught me with a deep passion.
